Abstract

Gastritis is a health problem for people in Indonesia today. Gastritis usually begins with irregular eating patterns so that the stomach becomes sensitive when stomach acid increases. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) or an inflammatory disorder that occurs in the gastric mucosa which can be called Gastritis. Objective: To analyze the relationship between public knowledge about diet and the incidence of gastritis in X Village. This is the purpose of this research. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The number of samples was 50 people who visited the Tareran Health Center, South Minahasa Regency from a population of 120 people. Based on the results of statistical tests, p value = 0.003, so it can be concluded that the incidence of gastritis in X Village is determined by dietary habit. The incidence of gastritis is dominant in acute gastritis and the diet is generally good. The incidence of gastritis in X Village is determined by dietary habit. For the puskesmas or non-communicable disease program holders to be more active in carrying out counseling, especially for people who are vulnerable to gastritis due to irregular dietary habit.
